In August of 2003, Park Ridge Chapel ran a trial Community Farmer’s Market to see if it would attract people from the neighborhood. We knew that several thousand cars pass this corner every day, but would they stop to shop? Yes, they did! The Community Farmer’s Market had phenomenal success, quickly growing from 30 vendors the first week to over 55 vendors the last week. Neighbors were drawn in and enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere and the opportunity to shop for local produce and crafts.
The year of 2004 was the first full year of the Market with a consistent 40 vendors each week and a growing customer base through the summer.
In the 2005 season we look to build on what we learned in the previous years and continue to see the Market grow. We desire to be a blessing to you as a vendor by providing a good opportunity to market your product. We also desire to see the Market grow in size and be a very successful Market in the Puget Sound region. We have ample vendor space and parking for customers. We are situated in a growing and prosperous community, so we feel our goals are realistic.

Jesus gave us the Golden Rule, “Do to others what you would have them do to you.” This rule is the primary value of our Community Farmer’s Market. If you have any questions or concerns, please talk with the Market Manager. If you have any thanks or appreciation, please share that with your customers.
We desire to have a wide variety of products. The Market Managers will do their best to limit the number of vendors with similar products. Park Ridge Chapel also has the discretion to limit products from being sold that it feels would be in violation to the principles and practices it endorses.

There is no required fee to sell in the South County Community Farmer’s Market. We appreciate donations and will utilize all monies received to offset the costs of advertising and running the market, but there is no mandatory fee to sell in this market. In appreciation of the opportunity to sell, some vendors choose to give a percentage of sales each week. Other vendors choose to give a nominal amount each week.
Tables are available to rent on a first come first serve basis: 6 ft. tables are $3 / night; 8 ft. tables are $4 / night.

Each week we have a visiting music group. We attempt to keep the volume of the music at an enjoyable level and the styles of music varying. We have found that music brings a great ambiance to the Market and visiting customers have made many positive comments.

Again in following the Golden Rule, we ask every vendor to be respectful of others and their potential fear of animals. All pets are to be on a leash at all times. If complaints are brought to the Market Manager regarding the behavior of a pet, you will be asked to not bring your pet to the Market. In all cases, please be very careful to pick up after your animal.
